Non-profit organization received a positive evaluation of the audit Swiss SGS, with 94.7% approval in item finances, and is rated first in the National Rankings certification SGS NGO Benchmarking
Amid the news of all NGOs involved in allegations of misuse of public resources, the Horizon is a counterpoint: the entity is the first in Brazil to obtain recertification by the standard NGO Benchmarking and reached a score over 90% in areas such as Financial Controls , Human Resources and Continuous Improvement.

The audit was conducted by the certifying Swiss Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), which had already approved the management of Horizon to give the entity the first certification in March 2008. The Horizon is now in first place in the National Ranking certification SGS NGO BM and thirtieth (30th) in the world.

"Nothing lends more credibility to an NGO that works with public and private resources to obtain a positive assessment of 94.7% in the item 'fund-raising, resource allocation and financial controls,'" said Marcelo Rocha, president of Horizons, an organization nonprofit whose mission is to promote the sustainability, citizenship, social inclusion and generation of employment and income for education.

He said the professionalization of the civil society organizations are increasingly required by the partners-investors. "Efficient administration is the first step for the very purpose of the project is reached and a demonstration of respect for the supporters," added Marcelo Rocha.

The audit examined 108 indicators of good management practices, divided into nine categories and based on more than 20 standards and codes. The Horizons had an average compliance of 80.9%, reaching 91.7% in Continuous Improvement and Human Resources.
